I grew up in Wilton, Connecticut with my parents and my younger brother and sister. In 2013, I graduated with my Bachelors Degree in Exercise Science from Lasell College located in Massachusetts. While getting my degree at Lasell, I completed two separate internships, one at Emmanuel College working with the Strength and Conditioning Coach and the other at Athletic Republic working with the Sports Performance Coaches. I was able to learn about and gain hands on experience in regards to functional movement screens, corrective exercises, speed and agility drills, Olympic lifting, Plyometrics, and sport specific training. I currently am a Certified Personal Trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) and have been Personal Training for almost a year. I also teach group fitness classes, which include a BOSU Bootcamp, TRX, Belly Butt and Thighs Bootcamp, Tread Bootcamp (includes combining intervals on the treadmill along with Dumbbell/Strength exercises on the ground), and Small Group Training classes. When I’m not teaching or training, I like to spend my time shopping, getting together with friends, taking my dog for a walk, working out, and in the summer time enjoying a day on the beach.
I graduated from Plymouth State University in the winter of 2014 with a Criminal Justice major and a Health minor. The fitness aspect of my life has been with me for roughly six years with a variety of different training methods. Weight lifting has always been what I'm most passionate about. I have my personal training certification through the National Academy of Sports Medicine, a Schwinn Indoor Cycling certification, and of course my CPR/AED certification. My philosophy is that there is always more to learn so I keep looking for new ways to train and become a healthier individual while helping others do so.
